First week of class in the books

Early stages of the project
Two feet and rising
Classes are underway for Charles at the university and there is a lot for Charles to keep him busy!

The ceramics class is working in pairs to create six-foot tall pieces.  Charles and his partner, Mikayla, began working on a piece inspired by basket sponge.

Missoula art scene

Charles took a day off today and, after taking care of two hospital visits (one in Hamilton and the other in Missoula), took advantage of being in the big city to get in some museum time.

The Missoula Art Museum is a wonderful, free, museum with a nice assortment of contemporary art on exhibit.

The first full week in January is drawing to a close!  Today started off with busy schedules for both of us before we joined the ladies of the United Methodist Women this afternoon for their monthly meeting.

With the weekend upon us we're glad to be joining Wesley in a winter evening repose!

Snow gone!

Nothing to see here!

Frost on the trees

All the wintry weather we had last weekend was largely history Monday as rain fell overnight, clearing the roads. By Tuesday we thought we might have to get the lawnmower out!  Other than some ice and fog one might be led to believe that winter was almost over.

Otherwise it's been a slow 'new week' here on College Street! Church activities have resumed to normal levels after the holiday break.  Belinda's work has kept her hopping, never a dull moment at the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Labs!

Snowy weekend

Clearing the driveway on Saturday
Belinda leads her class this morning
Charles preaching this morning
Showing our "Griz" spirit at Ginny's
We've gotten several inches of snow this weekend, enough so that Charles got to use the snow blower a couple of times!  We don't get nearly as much snow as does Missoula just thirty miles to our north.  It is nice to have such a warm home on these chilly days!

New Year's Day and the days afterward were on the 'slow' side for us, a welcome treat after the busyness of December.

Today was a full morning across the street at the church.  There was a steady snow overnight and into the afternoon which made for a very picturesque scene on College Street.  It's supposed to be warmer (in the mid to upper 30s, possibly 40) this coming week so we'll take the snow while we can!

After worship, we made our way to the home of a church member for a birthday lunch.  It is wonderful to be included in the life of the community!
