A KC bonus!

Before Charles left for home yesterday, he went downtown Kansas City to take in two art museums, The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Last morning in Kansas

Charles' last day in Leawood was filled with more meetings, a book signing (Adam Hamilton), and a rousing closing worship.

On the road again!

On the road again at DIA
A slice of American history
James family home
A stop on the road north
Together again!
Charles is in Kansas this week, attending a conference at The Church of the Resurrection in Leawood.

Today he had a free afternoon and went to have lunch with his sister, Jackie. They hadn't been together since the family reunion in 2016. On the way to lunch in Cameron, he stopped to tour the home of the James family (of Jesse James fame). An interesting slice of American history to be sure.

Connecting with old friends

Charles made the drive south today to Fountain, near Colorado Springs, to lead the remembrance service of the father of friends from our time in Sidney, Nebraska. It was nice, all the same, to reconnect to these wonderful folk!

Expanding our horizons
We're in the last bit of summer here in Boulder and we are enjoying the pace of life here!

We've been able to enjoy the evenings on the patio, sharing the beautiful nights with the backyard bunnies. Charles has been able to get some studio time in and together we have begun to take part in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program!

Saturday in Boulder

Nice day in Boulder! We watched a bit of  a regional bike racing event at the nearby park, navigated the pregame traffic for the Colorado-Nebraska football game on our way to the Boulder Farmers Market, lunch at Sforno, and a stroll along the Pearl Street Mall.
