Getting to know our new district

We joined clergy and their families from across the new Colorado Front Range District today at the home (in Littleton) of our District Superintendent,  Jessica Rooks, for an open house and a opportunity to get to know each other in the new district. There are 92 churches in the district that encompasses the area between Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.

Charles' painting finds a home

Charles was able to lend a hand this morning at the workday for the Wesley Center @ CU. He was particularly happy that he was able to use the small front loader to move a lot of rock for the parsonage! He was also glad to see that a rainbow flag painting he had donated to the Wesley Center being hung in the front room!

Monday morning surprise

We have been enjoying the backyard for some time now, watching the flurry of activity from the squirrels, birds, and the occasional raccoon. This morning, a neighbor let us know that we had had someone else in the yard: A BEAR!!! We didn't see it, but the neighbor was able to take some photos of our visitor. After helping itself to all of the nuts, it wandered off. 

Gotcha Day!

Today marks the eleventh anniversary of Wesley's emerging from the bushes at First UMC in McCamey, Texas and strolled into Charles' office as Charles was packing up for their move to San Antonio.

A productive Independence Day

Charles was over the church this morning tending to some tree trimming and was suprivised by Sammy. It is aways fun to be productive, even on a holiday!
