Surprise visitor

We had a surprise visitor at the church this afternoon - Sharon McClarnon, a friend of Charles' mom from when she lived in Florida. Sharon was in the area visiting family and wanted to see Charles and the church. A nice visit, and then it was back on the road to see more of her family.

Seen today in Niwot

Charles had a meeting with clergy colleagues this morning in Niwot (just north of Boulder) and afterwards took a stroll through the sculpture park in that community.

Checking in with Sammy

Ready for whatever happens!

A big yawn!

Sammy paid a visit to Charles' office this morning, checking in on the weekday activities at the church and enjoying a snack before continuing his rounds.

More buttons!

Charles had a nice treat today in the mail: buttons! This assortment was a gift from Peg and Norman Pillsbury in Florida. Norman was in the same 4-H club with Charles back in the 1970's.

A splash of color

"Roll on, Pride, roll on" 2023

"Rotae Vitae" (Wheel of Life), 2021

This week, Charles took a painting from 2021 and reworked it into a more colorful work. Using the eight colors used by Gilbert Baker for the original Pride flag, the result is really colorful!

This morning at St. Paul's UMC

Belinda took this photo this morning as Charles was preparing to lead the morning worship service. We are blessed to have an amazing church family with whom to share this time of our lives.

Generations is back!

Belinda ventured out to the nearby Fairview High School tonight to take in the wonderful choral music offered by the Generations choral group. The community choral group is led by Ron Revier (choir leader at St. Paul's UMC) and counts eight of our choir members as participants.

A busy morning

We had a hedge in the front of the parsonage that died over the winter and today's beautiful weather gave us the opportunity to remove it. A full pickup load including six bags of leaves later, and the look of the front of the house is so much different!

A full week for Wesley

Wesley does his best to keep the energy going at the parsonage which is why he needs to recharge his batteries so often!
