Seen today in Boulder

Just south of the Table Mesa neighborhood where we live is a ranch where a small herd of Longhorn cattle hang out. Today, as Charles was running errands, he was passing by and spotted them hanging out by the fence along that is next to the road.

A gift to Chapter J.I.

Belinda presented a flower pot, painted by Charles, to each of the members of her P.E.O. chapter today at the monthly meeting, held today at Colorado National Golf Club.

The pots, which have also been given to members of St. Paul's UMC and the BBKC, were a big hit with the chapter members.

Snow along the Front Range

A birdie!

Charles made the drive to Erie this morning to get in a round of golf at Colorado National. While his score was less than wonderful, it was nice to be outside on a picture-perfect spring day along the Front Range.

Springtime snow

If it's springtime it must mean wacky weather and today we are having a significant snowfall event, our first snow in quite some  time.

Getting some work done

Charles spent some time today ahead of tomorrow's coming snowfall, to get some work done at the church on the new memorial garden being installed at the church.

A visitor at the church

Sammy, the neighborhood cat who frequently sneaks into the church, found his way into Charles' office today and found a place to feel safe for a little while during his busy day.

A colorful May

We've had an interesting spring here at the parsonage, particularly when it comes to the flowers and blossoms that serve to make our home look so beautiful.

On the links

After a clergy meeting this morning, Charles took advantage of the beautiful weather to get in nine holes at the Interlocken Golf Course. His round was interrupted when a plane, attempting to make an emergency return to the nearby airport, crashed next to the course. The pilot was killed according to the news reports.

A new home for a painting

Lemminkäinen palaa kotitienoille (Lemminkäinen's Return)

Charles was excited to deliver a painting this afternoon to Anne Brubacher. Her family bought this piece during a charity auction held by the PTA at Hilltop Elementary here in Boulder.

The piece was completed in 2018 when Charles was a student at the University of Montana.

Gifts from Belinda's P.E.O. sisters

The last two weeks, we have been feeling ill. It was a challenge, especially that first week! Thanks to Belinda's loving and supportive P.E.O. Sisters in P.E.O. Chapter JI, we were supplied with nutritious, yummy food to sustain us! And we really appreciated the eye mask that can be heated, cooled to provide relief! We so appreciate their prayers for our healing/recovery, their offers to market for us, and their texts and emails checking up on us and how we were doing. Their love "in action" was such a blessing to us! Thanks be to God!!!
