Back in Montana

Wise words
A sacred place
the fallen came in many forms
Last Stand Hill
Part of the native people's memorial

Charles made it back to Montana today and on his way made a stop at the Little Bighorn Battlefield (about an hour south of Billings).  A very special place and well-worth the time to take in an important event in our history.

Tomorrow he completes the drive back from Texas!

To Texas and back

The best part of Texas!
Charles is in the midst of a quick trip to San Angelo, Texas, where he went to load up the last of Sheila's patio home -- to complete her move to Montana.
Challenge accepted!
Oh my!

This morning, he loaded up the U-haul, with a little help, before heading north, stopping in Dumas, Texas, for the night.
Tomorrow, the journey continues!

SUMC @ the creek

Our church family enjoyed a second day at the camp site north of Stevensville this afternoon.  The site, neat Larry Creek, was an ideal place to spend a summer afternoon.

Things are blooming in the valley

This morning, Charles took in the annual Stevensville Garden Club show taking place at the Mission this weekend.  The club, which is starting its 76th year, counts a number of Stevi UMC members on its membership roll.

Friday night @ the church cookout
Saturday morning in the study
It's been a delightful week here in Stevensville with lower than normal temps and some rain.  Mo has settled into her new home and is getting caught up on her rest following the move to Montana from Texas.

On Wednesday, Wesley escaped unnoticed outside and spent the evening outside.  By the time he found his way back inside on Thursday he was one tired kitty!

We had fun Friday evening attending the church 'camp-out/cookout. Not being 'outdoor' types we didn't do the camping portion but the food was wonderful!!!

Backyard surprise

July lilies
Hanging out on a Tuesday evening
We had a treat this evening when Belinda noticed that one of the Easter lilies that we had planted last year (following our first Easter in Montana) had bloomed!  Several other lilies are slower to sprout but give it a couple of years and we should have quite the display!

The arrival of Mo

Rob, Mo, & Belinda enjoy the Colorado weather!

"Montana Mo!"
Belinda and her mother, Sheila (known as Mo), arrived Monday after a tiring drive from Colorado to Montana.

The settling into the new routine has begun and there will be lots to post on the blog!

Wonderful weekend

What a treat this weekend has been!  We've actually had rain, at least 1/2 inch since Friday with the prospect of more tomorrow!!!  With Belinda and Sheila expected home tomorrow, Wesley is getting in some extra naps to be prepared.

Independence Day 2015

We're enjoying a somewhat relaxing day at home, doing a wee bit of yard work and continuing to prepare for the arrival the week of the 12th of Belinda's mother. Lots of changes coming to the parsonage on College Street - stay tuned!
