A sale is made!

Sold!

Charles has been taking part in an exhibit with the Boulder Art Association and today was the last day. Each artist had been invited to make one 8x8 work with a "bee" theme and one with how the past year has been for that artist. Charles' small piece was bought which is quite a thrill considering there were fifty-two "bees" to choose from!

Goats at work

On his walk this morning, Charles noticed a temporary fence at a park near our home. As he was passing by, he saw what it was there for: goats. There is firm here that rents out a herd of goats for mowing of difficult areas or places that just need to be kept under control.

Backyard visitor

We spotted a baby skunk this afternooon on the backyard patio. We think there is a den under the small shed. It didn't seem to mind Charles putting weeds in the bin and eventually ambled off under the large shed.

Another project at the church

Charles provided the needed labor this week at the church for a project that involved painting the stairwells. It looks simple when it was done, but the prepping and painting took more than sixteen hours!

Some simple paintings

Rotae vitae (Wheel of Life)

Soluppgång (Sunrise)

Charles has been enjoying spending time in the studio working on some pieces for upcoming shows and for the liturgical series (used at the church).

A recent one that was submitted for consideration to an exhibit in the NoBo (north Boulder) Art District's September show with the theme, "Ride On: A bike art exhibition."

He also used up some extra acrylic ink to create some whimsical pieces and painted some daisies for Belinda to use with P.E.O.
