One more museum!

Brass Kiwi from New Zealand

Items from the Massai people in Africa

With some free time this afternoon, Charles made his way to the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. This small facility started with one woman's vision of a place that would encourage the understanding of one another's humanity through education and the arts. The current focus is on Australia and New Zealand while the permament collections highlighting each of the other continents and the founder's initial collections made for an enjoyable visit.

Late summer in Boulder

Many days, when the weather is just right, we find the time to sit on the front porch, taking in the sights and sounds of our neighborhood. Enjoying a cup of tea makes our time together just that much more special.

Renewal log #35: Final

Charles spent the final day of his renewal leave with a leisurly start to the day. Mid-morning saw him with his trusty clippers in hand, tending to some branches at the house and church that needed some attention. Belinda meanwhile was preparing some delicious sweat potatoes and baking potatoes for us to enjoy! Wesley was also enjoying a quiet Labor Day, moving from place to place in the house for his many naps!

Renewal log #34

Photo taken on October 26, 2019

Charles had the last Sunday off (his fifth in a row!) for awhile as his renewal leave comes to an end tomorrow. He was up early today and went to Voodoo donuts for an early morning treat and then went to Flatirons Golf Course to the driving range. After that, it was back to the house to take in the Zoom service from across the street!

Today was a lazy day for us following a busy week for us. Belinda enjoyed watching the Colorado - TCU game from Ft. Worth (Colorado won, 45-42) while Charles had earlier enjoyed the Stuttgart - Freiburg game from Germany (won by Stuttgart 5:0). Wesley enjoyed a number naps in different areas of the parsonage, emerging from time-to-time to see how the rest of the household was faring!
