A terrific weekend was ours with lots of activity and more rain (which is always welcomed!). The rain is making the grass grow and the apple tree is coming into  bloom.

The main focus yesterday was a wedding at our church. Charles has officiated at two others since coming here, but this was the first one in the Stevi UMC sanctuary.

Another art project in the bag

Charles completed another project in his drawing class, a 6'x4' chalk drawing, "Cafe` Fromage." The class and professor really liked it! The semester is drawing to a close with only one more drawing still to be completed.

It's been quite a busy weekend for us, thank goodness for Sunday evenings when there is nothing on the schedule!

Belinda and Sheila had a great time Friday/Saturday in Polson at the United Methodist Women's spring district meeting. A lot of work goes into these events and both ladies came hope happy but oh so tired!

Charles spent Saturday morning at the church with the men's group followed by the annual church yard clean-up. Lots of energy at both events. A visit to Stevenville's American Legion Post's open house made for a good day, but Charles still had more to do! 

In the afternoon he made the drive to the campus in Missoula to make some adjustments to his next printing project. The semester is winding down so there is a lot riding on each project.

Sunday was a big day at the church - three baptisms! Now for a restful evening before we launch into another busy week!

While Belinda and Sheila were off to Polson for a district UMW event, Charles accepted an invitation from a first grader (at our church) to attend her school play.  What a treat!

 We were up at Mission Valley UMC today for a circuit meeting and on the way back took advantage of the opportunity to visit St. Ignatius Mission. The mission is famous for the murals painted by Brother J. Carignano, SJ, the mission cook.

Charles' spring break

The University of Montana is on spring break this week and Charles has been staying close to home, working on his drawing project in the basement.  Thursday morning he was on campus at the library and decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and climb "The M."

Monty and Wesley have had a series of cat fights which have not been pleasant for anyone in the house. Thursday afternoon however saw them asleep on the bed which was a real treat!

Charles' next art project is taking shape in the basement studio space. His assignment is to draw something that is 5'x5'.  He found a discarded chalkboard which measures 6'x4' and he is going to be re-creating a Parisian cafe`scene.
