A new painting

Luonnotar (Oil and beeswax on wood, 24x36)
This is a painting Charles worked on this week. The title Luonnotar is based on Finnish mythology, the words coming from the Kalevala. The text is from the first part of the Kalevala and deals with the creation of the world. Luonnotar or Ilmatar is the Spirit of Nature and Mother of the Seas.

Daly Days

Charles took advantage of a delightful summer day to take in some of the activities of Daly Days in Hamilton. Strolling through the farmer's market, admiring antique cars, and enjoying the many talented artists made for a pleasant outing

It's a quilt show!

We braved the heat this afternoon, venturing out to the Stevensville High School gym where the Sapphire Quilt Guild was hosting its annual show. Such talent on display!

Belinda was in the kitchen on a hot Friday afternoon, whipping up a batch of Cincinnati Chili! This is one of Charles' favorite meals and is sure to garner Belinda many spouse points!!

Happy Fourth!

It's been a pleasant day here as the Fourth is underway on College Street. Other than the people down the street shooting off hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks it has been a wonderful day for us!

Family visit - Day 6

Dale plays during the worship service
Roses for mom
Drive by Daly Mansion
Sporting the Griz look!
We had a nice day from beginning to end! We started off at the church with Dale playing the anthem on a borrowed trombone during the worship service. It was nice to be able to share this important part of our life with family.

After church we headed to Hamilton for lunch at Naps and a windshield tour of the Daly Mansion.

We ended the day with a celebration meal at the Lolo Peak Brewery, enjoying the evening breeze and more family stories!
