Making headway

It was a very full day for us as the effort to unpack and begin our life in Boulder continued. Belinda was hard at work unpacking more boxes and Charles spent the morning working on the front "yard." Belinda's brother, Rob, came to help us this afternoon with the loading and moving of book cases for Charles' office.

Clearing the deck

By Tuesday, Charles had gathered quite a mound of debris left over by the previous occupant. We had help from church members on Wednesday and Thursday in learning how to recycle, Boulder-style.

Home at last

We set foot in the house Sunday evening for the first time and got the lay of the and before the movers arrived Monday morning. We're slow to unpack and make sense of our new surroundings!

Boulder at last

After a long day of driving we arrived at last in Boulder, our new home! A treat today was a stop at the famous Chugwater Soda Fountain for a light lunch and a tasty treat!

We unloaded the U-Haul trailer and removed some items left in the parsonage before retiring to a hotel for a badly needed night's rest.

Our second day of The Move saw us depart Butte, rested, and ready for the drive into Wyoming. We passed through Billings and then turned south, ending up in Buffalo, Wyoming. One more night on the road and then we'll arrive in our new home in Boulder, Colorado!

A late night / early morning frenzy of packing the kitchen ended just fifteen minutes before the moving truck arrived! We made several trips with extra items for the church yard sale, dropped off the church keys, and then it was time to say good bye to our home of the last six years and hit the road to Boulder.

Our journey started off by slogging through Missoula traffic and with a restful meal at Cracker Barrel. Then it was time to head east, stopping for the night in Butte. Tomorrow we continue our journey to Billings before heading south into Wyoming.

Moving Day Eve

It's Moving Day Eve and the parsonage was abuzz with activity from early morning 'till late. The moving truck is coming tomorrow at 8 am, ready or not!

And we're back

Our time in Billings ended this morning as we set out for home and back to the task of preparing to move to Boulder. Wesley was happy to have us back and seems to have handled our absence well!

Annual Conference - Billings

 The days were long and the nights were as well as Annual Conference met this week in Billings. The highlight for us was on Saturday night when the bishop "fixed" Charles' appointment as the next pastor of St. Paul's UMC in Boulder, CO!

Ready to go in Billings

We arrived in Billings yesterday evening ahead of this week's Mountain Sky Annual Conference gathering. With all of the packing and prep work being done recently in anticipation of our upcoming move to Boulder, we thought it worth the extra night to get some rest!

A fantastic meal tonight at the Last Chance Pub was an unexpected treat and is our new favorite place in Montana's biggest city.

We had our final Sunday at Stevi UMC this morning and with it came the conclusion of our six years here.

We're taking care of Lisa M.'s fur babies this weekend and that includes Monty and Patches, the two outdoor cats we rescued and socialized. Lisa has taken both in and they are living a wonderful life!

First Friday in June

We took in the final First Friday we'll enjoy in Stevensville tonight. A good time was had at the library's Chocolate & Authors which had a Dr. Seuss theme. We also strolled down to River's Mist and met the artist who designed the lovely green scarf Belinda was given last week by the church.

With June underway in the Bitterroot Valley, we are enjoying the nice weather and the beautiful flowers in our backyard.
