Charles began a much-anticipated project this evening, the painting of one of the two sheds in our backyard.
He is taking as his inspiration the painting of Piet Mondrian and the De Stijl art movement.

Another task completed
Charles checked another item off his "to do" list this evening by completing the cleanup of the side "yard." He picked up a yard of gravel and applied it to the paths on the side. The finished look is nice!

Moving day - but not for us
It was moving day - but not for us! We made the drive this morning to Loveland where Charles' Aunt Joyce was preparing for her move to the Kansas City area. She will be moving to be closer to two of her children.

Sunday at the parsonage
Saturday, July 20, 2019
A full Saturday
We were coming and going today as we made good use of the cooler weather in the area.
Charles bagged up two more bags of yard debris this morning, we are slowly getting a handle on the outside of the parsonage! Next up was a visit to Broomfield UMC for its annual flea market. It was nice to meet the pastor, Don Bird, and to hear what this large and active congregation was up to.
The day was brought to a close with a drive into Denver and the birthday party of our great-niece, Finley (along with two other little girls). It was fun seeing all that energy in the bouncy-castle!!

Show time!
One aspect of living in Boulder is the abundance of cultural options. Tonight we took in a play, part of the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. On the bill tonight was Charles III, a very interesting look at what might be the future of the British monarchy!
Another busy week
It has been a hot, hot week for us! Charles braved the heat on several occasions to do more yardwork. Today's task was to clean out the window wells!

We had help sorting and recycling a lot of the material so what was stacked up at the end of the driveway, while still a lot, wasn't nearly as big as it had been just a week ago!

Happy Fourth!
Last year at CU |
We took a bunch of boxes left over from our move down to our niece in Parker which will be used by Belinda's brother, Rob, in his upcoming move. After that we picked up a used office chair and a small file cabinet for Charles' office. A few errands and it was back to Boulder.
We had considered going to the big fireworks display at the university's football field tonight but decided to stay home, enjoy the continuing unpacking task, and looking forward to the upcoming first Sunday at St. Paul's!
