There was actually one more project at the church this week, a continuation of the parking lot project to repaint the handicapped spaces. Like a lot of things, it took longer than anticipated, but the six spaces complete the fresh look!

The final project
We spent much of Friday turning a weedy patch in the front yard into a full-on zeroscape area. The parsonage is now 100% zeroscaped!
After first clearing the area using a tiller, we placed landscape fabric down and then Charles made a border on one side using large rocks taken from the sidewalk project over at the church. Next was taking delivery of five tons of rock and spreading it over the area.
When the last of the rock had been shoveled and the street swept, our final outdoor project at the parsonage (the church Trustees are still planing to trim the tree in the front) was complete!

A splash of color!
We set out some empty peanut butter and salad dressing containers in the yard in the colors that are making a statement at the parsonage!
This to shall pass...

History in the making
We were among the millions tuning in to the first night of the Democratic National Convention. As Mo used to say, "History in the making."

Another project in the books
Charles was able to complete another project at the church this week, the clearing of the sidewalk alongside the north side of the church parking lot that leads to the Mary Sandoe House (at the back corner of the church property).
More than 1,980 lbs. of branches and brush were taken to the recycling center as a result of his labors. We were told that it had been twelve years since the patch was last tended and it showed!
