The church hosted the spring meeting of the western district's Texas Federated Women's (Study) Club today. A great time was had by all! The invited speaker was Dr. James Phelps, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Security Studies at Angelo State University. He presented a very informative presentation about national and international security issues and discussed the new online degree plans the center has to offer.

More changes at the parsonage
When Belinda got back home this evening from San Angelo, she noticed that the garage door brushed up against one of the cacti in the bed we have. This wasn't the case just last week! So, Charles relocated it to the new bed he had prepared last week. It is nice to have plants that can handle this climate!
As seen in west Texas
Charles surprised Belinda with a quick visit in San Angelo yesterday, taking care of some errands (including getting the cars washed) and enjoying supper with Belinda and her mother at Logan's.
____ Spotted yesterday were two additions to San Angelo's sheep fold. Frost National Bank has a special ram, complete with stetson hat, boots and cuffs. Shannon Hospital's Laser Eye Center is host to a sheep showing the religious roots of the community.
____
As Charles was driving home today, he spotted a pronghorn antelope as he was approaching the town limits of Big Lake. The critter was grazing alongside the roadway, oblivious to the heavy trucks whizzing by just yards away.

More work at the parsonage today!
Charles had a busy day today. He was in the office this morning, and then he drove to Midland to make a hospital visit and a stop at Mardel's. Of course, no visit to "the cities" would be complete without a stop at Schlotzky's for lunch! This evening, Charles put the finishing touches on the yardwork project that has been underway for several weeks now. It has been fun to see the results of all his labor. It will be even better when Charles and Belinda have the time this weekend to enjoy it together!

Our weekend
(The above picture is of the front entrance of the VA's "CBOC," i.e., the "Community Based Outpatient Clinic" in San Angelo.)
Belinda's time back home in McCamey was all-to-brief this weekend. She's already back in San Angelo, ready for another week of training with the VA. She's staying with her mother who lives there. They are enjoying their time to visit!
Belinda arrived home yesterday morning, just in time for a baby shower being hosted at the church in McCamey, which was a lot of fun! Afterwards, it was time for "loads" of laundry (pun INTENDED)... and sorting through what happened on the homefront this last week. Today was another beautiful Sunday in west Texas! As usual, they participated in three worship services: One in Iraan and two in McCamey... with a bonus of a potluck at the McCamey church! Belinda visited with friends, and before we knew it... it was time for her to go.
Both Belinda and Charles know that this is a time of adjustment, schedule-wise. They REALLY appreciate everyone's understanding as they tweek the old schedule -- to make way for the new one(s). They do appreciate everyone's well-wishes and prayers! As some say here: God bless y'all "reall good now!"

Spring is blooming in McCamey
After our time in Big Spring, Belinda continued on to San Angelo for more training with the VA clinic there. Charles returned to McCamey where the roses at the parsonage had come into bloom for the first time this year.
Belina returned home today in time for a baby shower being held for a couple from the First UMC - McCamey. Charles had begun the day early with the men's breakfast at the church here in McCamey. A great day in McCamey, Texas!
