Wonderful Weekend Women's Retreat!

Belinda attended a wonderful women's retreat this weekend in Iraan. It was sponsored by the First Baptist Church there. Several women from the Iraan First United Methodist Church attended. A great time was had by all! Thanks be to God!!!

Today

Charles was up early this morning and after checking in on the United Methodist Men's group next door, drove to Eldorado for a meeting.
On the way home, he drove the scenic way and enjoyed the landscape that is west Texas!

Beads, beads, beads!

Belinda and her mom were smart to stay indoors this afternoon (take note, Charles!) and went to the Rio Concho West clubhouse for the weekly beading class. There are some really creative ladies in the group, one even had flip-flops decorated with water balloons!

Charles hits the links

For the first time in a long, long time, Charles got in a round of golf! He went to Quicksand Golf Course here in San Angelo and got to play with a couple of local men. It was only about 83F when he started to play and about 107F when he finished! The score wasn't that great, but it was fun to be on the links again!!!

We're in San Angelo!

We've had a quiet couple of days in McCamey this week, just taking care of business around the house and in the church next door. We decided to come to San Angelo for a couple of days to see Belinda's mother and to run some errands in "the city."

This afternoon, we went to the movies, the first one we've seen this year! We got to see "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2," a great way to see the saga come to a conclusion.

Afterwards, we visited Michaels and found the perfect frame for Belinda's mother's beautiful counted cross-stitch sampler that she plans to give her good friend Kathie Bee for her birthday.

Lots to do tomorrow, who knows what Mr. & Mrs. Waldo will see in "Angelo!"
