The holiday weekend at Stevi UMC was a lively affair and we were excited to be able to begin our second year with our lovely church family!

It has been a quite warm morning for us here in Stevensville and so we stayed indoors, trying to keep the house as cool as practical. Wesley has been likewise trying to stay cool, taking naps to conserve energy.

We got our Independence Day off to a great start with some household chores first thing ahead of a great day ahead of us.

Then it was off to the Stevensville Civic Club's 'hometown' picnic. What a great way to enjoy the Fourth!

Hot afternoon in Montana

We have officially entered summer with temps in the upper 80s - low 90s.  We learned from our first summer in Montana about "Montana AC," open windows at night, closed windows/blinds during the day.

Charles did brave the heat after his hospital visits to get in nine holes with two men from our church.  They went to Larchmont Golf Course in Missoula where Charles had a respectable 46 including even par over the last three holes!

Iris' on display

Charles had a hospital visit in Missoula today and had a few minutes afterward to check out the Missoula Iris Society display at Fort Missoula.  The best time for Iris' is past but it was still nice to be able to see what was on display.
