The fog has lifted!

Tea, anyone?

The heavy fog which had blanketed the Bitterroot Valley since last Friday finally lifted today!  While still cloudy it has meant warmer temps today and Friday.

We have had a busy couple of days with lots of extra things taking place at the church and where Belinda works.  Tomorrow we'll be taking part in the United Methodist Women's first "English Christmas Tea."  It promises to be quite an event!!!

Foggy week continues

Frost along College Street
Ready for the last critique
Charles' painting projects
3D Foundations critique

We've had some heavy fog in southwestern Montana since Friday of last week and it has

Today was Charles' last day for the fall semester.  This morning he had a final critique in the 3D Foundations course.  His project got very good comments and Charles feels the final grade will be a good one.

The painting review was a one-on-one with the professor and included a look at all the pictures attempted this semester.  Charles was told that he'd made huge improvements since the beginning (the black/white self-portrait)!

Wonderful Sunday!

Wesley enjoys the Christmas seasons
Belinda shares a memory during the concert

A full day for us here in Stevensville!  There was heavy fog all morning, and then it came back this evening.  In between was our typical busy morning and then the 57th edition of the "Hanging of the Green" concert at the church.  Belinda was part of the choir and also shared a Christmas memory (along with other choir members).

A busy weekend, but a wonderful one!  Thanks be to God!

Montana Country Christmas, pt. 3

Following the bazaar at the High School we made our way to the Historic St. Mary's Mission for its annual display of Nativity sets.  New this year was an assortment of nutcrackers.  What a wonderful gift to the community!!!

We are certainly going to share some of our Nativity sets next year.  It will be wonderful thing for us to be able to share with the community we enjoy living in!!!

Click on this link to see all of the Nativity sets.

Montana Country Christmas, pt. 2

Belinda, Sonia, and Sonia's friend at the bazaar
After last night's activities along Main Street, we were at it again this morning!

Belinda was over at the church early today with the rest of the Stevi UMC choir, practicing for tomorrow afternoon's "Hanging of the Greens" concert.  This will be the 57th year for this event!

After that, it was off to take in the Stevensville HS Booster's annual Christmas bazaar.  Lots of exciting things to see!  It was fun doing a whirl of the vendors and taking in the sights and sounds of folk enjoying the season!

Montana Country Christmas, pt. 1

Clothes Closet Christmas party
Mickey, Becky, Lisa, and Belinda enjoying the festivities
Charla Bauman @ the library
Main Street was happening!
River's Mist Artist Co-op open house
Today was First Friday in Stevensville and the beginning of the "Montana Country Christmas" (MCC) event (which continues tomorrow).  A year ago we attended our first MCC and the temps were absolutely frigid.  See this link to see what we were about a year ago!

Tonight we first went to have supper with the volunteers from the Clothes Closet.  Such generous folk with their time and talents!  Then we did a whirl of the activities along Main Street including watching "the parade" and hearing the carolers sharing with passerby.

We caught some of the musical offerings at the North Valley Public Library where a solo guitarist played Christmas music and at Lutzenhiser Jewelry where a blue grass string band was playing.  There were several business open house gatherings tonight and we took in a couple of those, one at a new location for a health clinic and another at a artist co-op.

It was fun seeing so many of the Stevi UMC members on the streets tonight.  With such a beautiful evening to enjoy it was easy to understand why folk were in such a good mood all around the town.

The event continues tomorrow and we'll be back to enjoy more of our town's offerings.

A white week

Ready for Sunday's concert
A white week on campus
A "prime" example
Critique in the painting class (Charles' is on the right)
We've a couple of light snows, about an inch each, this week, just enough to be pretty, not enough to break out the snow blower.

Charles is nearing the end of the fall semester at the university.  Yesterday was his last quiz in art history and a critique of his final painting.  Only thing that remains is the critique of his final 3D project on Tuesday and it's all done until January!

Belinda took part in the choir practice on Tuesday in order to help the sopranos on Sunday for the 57th Hanging of the Greens concert at the Stevi UMC.  Singing for 2 1/2 hours will tucker one out!
