We said goodbye to the Lexus today after having it since March 2011. We decided that since it hadn't run since last year that it was time to donate it to someone who might get some value for it. We donated it to an organization that takes old vehicles and donates the proceeds to veteran's organizations.

While we've been in a string of blistering hot days, tonight's 'cold front' promises a couple of days below 90 which is a real treat for us!

Saturday was given over to a funeral Charles conducted for a 46-year old woman with ties to Stevensville. Belinda was involved as part of the United Methodist Women's hospitality effort of providing a luncheon for the family.

A full slate of Sunday morning activities gave way to that special time of the week: the Sunday afternoon nap!

Minor quake in felt in Stevi

We are about 30 miles south of Missoula

Around 12:30 this morning, a 5.8 earthquake hit near Lincoln, MT (about 73 miles east/northeast of us, as the crow flies). Belinda and Mo felt it but Charles slept through it! 

No damages or injuries have been reported this morning. Lincoln was briefly without power but everything is back to normal now.

Fourth of July

The button sorting project

Our Fourth was a quiet affair as we decided to stay at home and avoid the crowds and the heat.

Charles did take advantage of a cooler morning than expected, doing some yard work at the church. The corner of 3rd & College Street got a face-lift and the new look is awesome! 

Another project completed by Charles today was the sorting of buttons (those not already on the display panels) into containers. This involved sorting the donations into the eleven major categories and the numerous sub-categories and then placing the buttons in ziploc baggies and then into designated containers. A lot of work, but well-worth it!
