A full Sunday in Boulder

Charles celebrates communion with Judy
New batch of light switch covers
Good company and good food
We have had a busy weekend and today was full of memories to take into the autumn season.

This morning Charles invited Judy Clark, our friend from Minnesota, to preach and celebrate communion with him. Before Judy and Leon left for Texas, Charles presented them with two of the light switch covers he had created just this weekend.

This evening, we met up with Dave McClay-Schulte (from our time in Stevensville, MT) and his brother, Dwight, at The Med for an enjoyable time of sharing and wonderful food!

Now to sit back and enjoy some tea and quiet time with Wesley!

Leon chats with a snowman
Performers come in all sizes on Pearl Street
After the visit to the Celestial Seasonings we headed downtown to the Pearl Street Mall, taking in the color, sights, and sounds of this fun spot.

A new favorite place

We took our friends Judy and Leon to visit the Celestial Tea Company. The highlight was the tour of the only production facility of this Boulder-based famous company.

Friday night at the parsonage

A treat from Judy!
Puzzle queens at work
Working in the studio
After a full day of train rides, sight-seeing, slogging through Denver traffic, and supper in Golden, it was back to the parsonage to relax!

Judy and Belinda tackled a fun jig-saw puzzle in the newly reconfigured front room while Charles began work on some light switch plate covers for Judy and Leon's home in Minnesota. Judy surprised Charles with a delightful assortment of buttons for his collection!

All aboard!

Welcome to Silver Plume station
Ready for an adventure
Overlooking Clear Creek

Seen on the way to Guanella Pass
We had a real treat today, accompanying friends Judy & Leon for a ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad! It was a picture-perfect day with beautiful scenery and lots of enjoyable history to explore. After our ride, we went to Georgetown and then over the Guanella Pass.

Our first visitors

History behind every bush

We've welcomed our first guests to the parsonage, Judy Clark & Leon Hixon! Judy is a retired UM pastor that we knew from our time in Nebraska. Charles invited Judy to preach on Sunday, repaying his preaching at Judy's churches in Minnesota a few years ago.

Tonight we went to supper at the historic Colorado Chautaugua  here in Boulder, our first time. Wonderful food and a superb view on a delightful autumnal evening.
