A nice outing

Welcome
Nature abounds

The "flag" is a windsock!

Wide open spaces

A buried trash can!

After doing so much work at Wesley House over the past week, Charles took the morning off and ventured to Westminster to get in a round of golf at Walnut Creek Golf Preserve. A true "links course," Charles had a nice time even if he did make the course harder than it needed to be!

A quick one on Saturday

Tableau VIII, 16x20

Charles created an easy Mondrian-inspired painting today using egg tempura. While not as complicated as paintings made in the Middle Ages, it was interesting to feel the difference on the brushes.

More work at Wesley House

Charles was back at Wesley House @ CU this week both yesterday and today. His output this week included three benches, four chairs, a small table, a sign board, three bike racks, and a large rainbow sign!

Two from the studio

När jag drömmer (When I Dream)
48x48, acrylic on canvas

Uusmaalaisten laulu (Under the Fir-Trees)
11x14, acylic on canvas

Charles focused his creative bent indoors this weekend with the heavy smoke filling the skies along the Front Range. Two paintings emerged from the studio today, both done in the heavy impasto technique. The larger of the two, was begun a couple of weeks ago but the completion was delayed due to the arrival of additional tubes of acrylic paints.

Charles took on another project, helping to get the Wesley House @ CU spruced up for the return of campus life in a few weeks. Today's project was repainting the parking lot!

An outing in the city

Charles had a great time today at the “15th Annual Swinging @AIDS” Golf Benefit held at the City Park Golf Course in Denver. This event is sponsored by the Center for Health & Hope. His foursome had a respectable two under par!!

Visitors today!

We had a delightful time today with visitors, Mollie and Adam. We knew them from our time in western Nebraska and they were nearby this weekend, visiting family in the area.
