Charles took a walk around the neighborhood of the First UMC in Cheyenne (where his meeting is) during his lunch break and noticed some street art and murals that made for an enjoyable time to enjoy this last week of winter.

Charles took advantage of some free time this morning after arriving early before his meeting in Cheyenne to visit the Cheyenne Depot Museum. This is a nice place that gives a good account of the role railroads had in the conquest of the west.

North to Cheyenne

Charles made the two-hour drive north to Cheyenne, Wyoming today to attend the Conference's Board of Ordained Ministry meeting. 

He's hoping for a more subdued meeting that the previous two meetings he attended! Three years ago, this week he was in Casper, Wyoming when an overnight snowstorm dumped 36" on the town. Two years ago, the meeting was in Cheyenne and at the end of the week, Covid had shut down the world. So, if nothing happens aside from the meeting, it will be a treat!

Charles worked on two versions of the Ukrainian flag this week, one in acrylic and the other in acrylic & oil. 

Ready for Lent

Charles was in the backyard this afternoon, burning palm branches (from the canceled 2020 Palm Sunday) to make ashes ahead of the church's Ash Wednesday service. It was quite a sight!
