On the Road to Cleveland

Maumee UMC
Yum!

Interesting place to visit

Charles started his Sunday in Ohio with worship at Maumee UMC's early service. A quick nosh at Tim Horton's in Perrysburg and then it was a visit to the nearby Fallen Timbers Battlefield, site of a 1794 battle involving native forces and American forces led by Gen. "Mad Anthony" Wayne.

Tax Time

We had a Zoom meeting tonight with our tax preparer which is always a trying experience. Wesley was on hand to keep an eye on things and was able to keep us focused and on task.

An accomplishment!

Charles received his official notice today that effective April 2, 2026, he was approved as a fully credentialed Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC).

He needed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (he has six units), and in the past four years has had several interviews, classes, papers, 2,000 hours of chaplaincy experience, and at least fifty continuing education units (CEU) per year (starting last year).

Holy Thursday x two

Holy Thursday at Thorne Crest

Holy Thursday at Glenville UMC

We observed Holy Thursday services at Thorne Crest and at Glenville UMC with both services being well-attended. At Glenville UMC, we enjoyed a potluck meal before the service which is always a delightful experience.
