We stopped by in Iraan for lunch this morning at the senior's center and met up with many First UMC members. Burton Lanehart gave Belinda a hand-made cross to take to Georgia (she has someone in mind with whom to share the cross). We also stopped by Lee & Dottie Mann's home, where Lee presented Belinda with a piece of his hand-made jewlery. What a nice way to spend our morning -- with such loving folks!

We stopped by Iraan for lunch today at the senior center and met up with several First UMC members. Wanda Morrow shared some smiles with us before heading back to her volunteer work at the local hospital.

A day in Odessa, part two
Next door to the Presidential Museum is the Ellen Noel Art Museum. It is a small museum, but has some interesting collections. A neat feature is the sensory garden, a place where visitors are encouraged to explore the place using all five senses. It was a beautful way to spend time in such a beautiful setting.
A day in Odessa, part one
We took off for a day-long adventure in Odessa today, taking advantage of the beautiful weather, getting in some shopping and visiting two museums.
First thing, though, was a stop at the Cracker Barrel in Midland for breakfast. There are few better ways to start one's day than at a Cracker Barrel, complete with a nice fire!
After breakfast we stopped by the Presidential Museum in Odessa. This is a small museum, but worth a visit. Charles was tickled seeing all the buttons on display!
Cracking good time in McCamey
Last night we got cracking at the parsonage with a pecan cracking fest! Over the past week or so we've been gathering up dozens of pecans from the tree in the parsonage back yard. For some reason it surprised us just how fresh they tasted!

Birthday "Pitchers"
These beautiful pitchers were sent to Belinda for her birthday! She is so thankful that her sister-in-law Jackie sent them... along with a lovely card! How very thoughtful of her!
