Cat days of summer

One never knows where Wesley will be found! Today, he took a nap in the studio with his nose buried in one of Charles' shoes!

Another addition to the Liturgical Series

Charles completed another painting for the Liturgical Series this week with the addition of Pentecostes tempore (Season after Pentecost), 48x60, marble acrylic on canvas.

This morning in Longmont

Charles made the drive to Longmont this morning to get in some golf on a delightful summer morning. A mix-up at Ute Creek Golf Course meant he only got in nine holes, but not to be deterred, he went across town to get in a short round at the nine-hole Sunset Golf Course.

Two new paintings

Maan virsi (Hymn of the Earth)

Svarta Rosor (Black rose)

Charles had a productive week in the studio in recent days. In addition to beginning the latest pinting in the Liturgical series, he completed one painting using a large tube of lamp black oil paint and another done in colors requested by our friend, the Rev. Deb Wacker.

A nice day for a drive

We are making the most of our Colorado home with a drive this afternoon to the Colorado Cherry Company (between Lyons and Estes Park). We were able to pick up a couple gallons of tart cherry juice which is a favorite of Charles.

On the way back, we stopped in Lyons for a bite and ended up at the Pizza Bar 66 where Belinda really enjoyed their Meadow Park pizza!

Outdoors with Wesley

As much nature as Wesley is allowed!
Preparing for marble acrylic

First green application

Charles took advantage of the amazing weather this morning to start a 48x60 painting (in his liturgical painting series) and brought Wesley outside to join him in taking in the fresh morning breeze.

Parsonage visitor

Choosing switch plates
Wesley keeps his eyes on the prize

We had a delightful visit today from the Rev. Deb Wacker, a friend from our days in southwest Montana. She is currently appointed to a church in nearby Northglenn. Deb brought a lovely orchid for us and Wesley couldn't take his eyes off of what he was sure was a tasty treat for him!

Lunch at South Walnut Cafe`was followed by a tour of the parsonage. We invited Deb to choose from the wide assortment of switch plates and Charles accepted a commission for a painting for our guest.
