Belinda's birthday, part 2

Belinda got to extend her birthday by a day as we made the drive to Northglen to her happy place for her birthday thanks to a present from Charles' mom.

Belinda celebrated her birthday today with Charles and Wesley on a delightful autumn day in the shadow of the Flatirons. Belinda was born on an October Sunday in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England to Joe & Sheila (Barlow) Hammitt.

October visitors

We were happy to welcome the Revs. Anna and Daniel Viehland to the parsonage today. After a tour of the church (where Charles gifted them with some books), we went to lunch at South Walnut Cafe, one of our favorite local eateries. 

After lunch, we returned to the parsonage and enjoyed showing them our lovely home. Charles was especially happy to show them his button collection and even happier to gift them with TEN paintings!

It's snowing!

The first faint dusting of snow fell along the Front Range this morning, a sign of colder, wetter days to come. It didn't stick of course, that comes later, but it was still nice to see!

Doing our part

We did our civic duty this morning, completing our ballots for the upcoming election. Here in Colorado, we get automaticly sent ballots which can be completed and dropped off at thearby rec center. Easy-peasy!

Helping our neighbors

We took a load of donations collected at the church to the nearby high school today. It was nice to be able to share with our neighbors!
