There are lots of cool things to see here in west Texas. Today was filled with some of those cool things. When we got to Iraan this morning, we spotted some the early arrivals in the Monarch Butterfly fall miration. As we walked to the door past the big pecan tree on the church's north side, we watched in amazement as hundreds of butterflies took to the wing. It was such a beautiful sight! Hearing hundreds of butterflies is simply amazing!
As we left town on the way to McCamey, we spotted five white-tailed deer grazing in a yard opposite the Iraan hospital. We're just glad they were there and not farther along the route when our speed would have been much higher.
As we got back to McCamey, we spotted a large trailer parked alongside the roadway with two of the blades that are used with the wind turbines. These are really big and really expensive!
