Having seen the first "scout" flakes of snow earlier this week, it was a treat to wake up this morning with the first trace of snow on the ground in Stevensville. 

Of course there has been snow on St. Mary's Peak (in the Bitterroot Mountains west of town) since September 19th but this is the first day with anything aside from frost on the car.
