Mission Mountains peaking though the fog |
St. Ignatius Mission |
Charles took off for Mission Valley this afternoon (about 1 1/2 hours north of Stevensville) where he will be conducting the church conference for the Mission Valley UMC this evening.
Taking advantage of the opportunity. he stopped along the way in St. Ignatius and visited the historic St. Ignatius Mission church that the Jesuits started in 1854. The church interior is beautiful and the original paintings on the ceiling are just as amazing as they were when first created.
Making his way north Charles drove into a dense fog coming down from the Mission Mountains. That curtailed his plans of visiting the Ninepipe Wildlife Refuge, perhaps another time.
