Getting out the vote effort @ UM

"Night Watch"

 

With the semester winding down, there are still some things to do and events to attend.

Charles happened upon a campaign event at the University for Rob Quist, a Democrat running for Congress. Charles didn't get to stick around for the candidate's appearance, but he did meet Alyssa Milano who is in town as part of the campaign's get-out-the-vote effort.

The rest of his day was given to a quiz in African Art, some research in Women & Art, and another painting completed.

The painting project, Night Watch, incorporates the assignment's three requirements: a surface that is 18"x18," includes a raven, and have some aspect that is printed. Charles used nine 6"x6"  wood  panels and screen printed the raven directly onto the wood surface.
