Charles set out for Niwot this morning to get in some golf at
Haystack Mountain Golf Course. This is a short, nine hole course, laid out in a links format. He learned from the staff that the course is due to be closed at the end of August and turned into a subdivision.
Not a particularly special course in itself, but the location has historic relevance as the camp site of Niwot/Left Hand, leader of an Arapahoe band that were eventually killed at the Sand Creek Massacre.
