We took the rental truck back to Odessa today and Belinda took the opportunity to drive part of the way back, she's a natural!
This morning, as we were unloading the truck, Charles spotted the parsonage's resident ground squirrel peaking up from its burrow in the front yard. It says spring in west Texas! Meanwhile, in the backyard, the first Cardinal of the year was seen enjoying the fresh water in the birdbath. We see a wider variety of birds in our backyard than one might expect in a desert such as the Permian Basin.
