A day "off"

Charles began taking Monday's off (a sabbatical following the excitement of Sundays in the parish and ahead of a busy week to come). 

This morning, he was up early and spent nearly three hours in the back yard, pulling weeds, clipping dead roses buds and transplanting two bushes.  There is still a lot left to do, but the end result will be worth it.
