Beautiful day in the Valley

Whaley Homestead, 1885
Mule Deer at the Refuge
Whitetail Golf Course
Wildlife Refuge looking toward the Bitterroot Mountains
We decided to stay close to home today, a much needed "down day" after the busy week behind us.  Charles was up early and took a ten mile ride with his newly tuned-up bike.  He is really looking forward to exploring the Bitterroot Valley and making use of the great trail system we have here.

He got an overview of the nearby Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge including the Whitetail Golf Course (located on the Refuge).  He spotted two Mule Deer and some otters in addition to a number of different birds.

When Charles got back home it was time for us to tackle the yard work and other household chores.  Wesley in the meanwhile kept a sleepy eye on things from the comfort of the sofa!
