We've had a quiet Independence Day here in McCamey. It was another hot day with the temperature hitting 100F. We enjoyed watching a replay of the HBO mini-series, "John Adams" which seemed a fitting way to enjoy the day! Nothing much happening tonight in McCamey as fireworks are banned this year in west Texas as the drought has made it too dangerous to celebrate the 4th in the traditional manner.
