Nowhere other than in Texas would you drive 175 miles for a picnic!
That's what we did this afternoon as we drove from McCamey to Junction for the San Angelo District Clergy Picnic. This is an annual event to welcome new pastors and their families to the district and to celebrate the return of former pastors and their families.
We were busy in McCamey this morning, Belinda at the church and Charles at the convalescent center. Charles spotted a beautiful white flower as he walked the 1/2 mile to the convalescent center. It is amazing that anything is still growing with the lack of rain and the heat!
Tonight we're in San Angelo with Belinda's mother. In the morning, we'll head back home to get ready for a busy weekend!
