Looking green at the parsonage

Wesley stops to smell the flowers
Herbs (top) and veggies (horizontal planter) are in and looking great!
It was an unusual Saturday for us - rain in the morning, a funeral in the afternoon and gardening/lawn work to round out the day!

The much-needed rain this morning was the first measurable rain we've had in several weeks.  Belinda took advantage of a break in the weather to get the yard mowed, it always looks so fresh and beautiful when it's done.

Charles stopped by the Stevi farmer's market on Main St. and picked up some vegetable plants for two of the raised beds.  This is about as close to farming as we're likely to get!

Planted today were: Beefsteak tomatoes, broccoli, green bell peppers, zucchini, squash, sweet potatoes, celery, onions, sweet corn, and Swiss chard.
