Charles was mowing the yard this afternoon, a delightfully "cool" day (anything under 90F is cool!), and saw two reminders that summer's heat is only temporary.
The first was the sunflower that has grown in the midst of the tomatoe plants. A welcome surprise!
The second is the on-going raking of apples that continue to fall with resounding "thuds." Hundreds of tiny apples are raked up before the mowing each week, too bad we don't know how to really enjoy this bounty!
