Our Tuesday in Texas had several distinct parts, each with its own features! Charles spent most of his day in Iraan, at the First UMC, getting familiarized with the Iraan community. A highlight of the afternoon was visiting the home of Alley Oop, his pet dinosaur, Dinny and Oop's girlfriend, Miss Oola. This old-time cartoon was invented right there in Iraan!!! Belinda, in the meantime continued the task of transforming the contents of our remaining boxes into a bonafide home!
In the evening, it was time for Charles' first meeting with some of the McCamey First UMC leadership. After that, it was supper at Elena's. and then Belinda attended her first Women's Study Group (a twice-a month" community forum).
Slowly we're getting our feet on the ground; stay tuned to see what happens next!
