Renewal log #12b

Heart Mountain looms over the camp
A guard tower remains of the military presence
Executive order #6
One of the remaining barracks for the thousands of people here

With some time to fill before checking into the retreat center, Charles headed to the site of the former Heart Mountain Relocation Center, one of the facilities that was used to house thousands of Americans of Japanese descent during WWII. It was an interesting experience and making this part of his trip was well-worth it.
