People watching in Golden

A relaxing morning was the precursor to a nice day spent in Golden. First up was a visit to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. It is a small museum, two galleries, but is very nicely presented and very much not what we were expecting when we thought of quilts. The three exhibits showed contemporary fabric art and was definitely not your grandmother's bed quilts! Next up was a brief visit to the Mother Cabrini Shrine just south of Golden. An amazing woman who did so much for the immigrants to the Front Range communities in the late 1800s.

We ended the day with a nice lunch at Table Mountain Inn in downtown Golden. Good food followed by a delightful time watching people strolling down the street and enjoying the "Golden Super Cruise" (cars) made for a great day.
