Yesterday, we really enjoyed the drive from west Texas to Kerrville, which is located in the beautful "hill country" of Texas. It was our first time to visit the United Methodist Church (UMC) retreat center called Mt. Wesley, but we know it won't be our last!
We met Karen, the retreat coordinator, who gave us a very warm welcome. She got us registered. And then we were off to the Nutrition and Wellness Center (aka. the dining hall) for a delicious lunch. We met up with the Rev. Leigh Gregg, pastor at the Menard UMC. It was lovely to see her again! As always, a UMC meeting/retreat is always part business and part family reunion. Praise be to God for such a wonderful get-away!!!
