After a few quiet days when there just didn't seem to much to say, we're back with a wrap-up of today's events!
Our Sundays are pretty much non-stop. Charles gets to the church in McCamey by 6 am. By 8:30 am, we are heading down the road to Iraan. We have been heartened by the increase in attendance at the First United Methodist Church (UMC) in Iraan: 24 today was a real blessing!
Making our way back to McCamey, it was a treat this morning to have a full choir which really lends itself to making the worship service complete. Afterwards, we joined the lunchtime throng at Elena's with others from the church. It is the place to see and be seen in McCamey!
Following that, it was time to get ourselves to the McCamey Convalescent Center for chapel. The residents are certainly a blessing for each of us who participate.
Tonight was the third session of our Lenten study with tonight's focus being on Buddhism. We're really enjoying wrestling with understanding these other faiths and our own.
Upon his return home to the parsonage, Charles noticed that a nest attached to the front porch roof had a family of swifts in it. What a blessing!
