We had a wonderful gathering tonight as we waited for the results of the elections taking place in McCamey. It was lots of fun, sixteen folk turned out on short notice to share in the impromptu gathering for Dollie Lynch (a First UMC member) who was running for hospital board, and Charles, a candidate for school board.
In the unofficial results, Dollie ended up in third place, one vote shy of the next candidate. Charles also ended up one vote short, not bad for his first time on a ballot!
