Charles took part in the church's "Trunk or Treat" event tonight. The damp weather was a bit of a challenge but it was fun all the same!

Paintings on display

While we were in Missoula today for Belinda's birthday we stopped at the university to pick up some paintings of Charles that had been considered for purchase. We then went by Eck Hall so that Belinda could see his work up in its new home.

Happy birthday, Belinda!

To celebrate Belinda's birthday we went to Missoula and the Montana Club restaurant. Birthdays at the Montana Club get their age, age a %, off their meal!

Meeting up with Monte

Charles was in Missoula this afternoon and made a stop on campus. While he was there he spotted the Griz mascot, Montey, hanging out on the Oval, encouraging passerby to come to tomorrow's football game.

Rain in the valley

The warm and dry spell we had has given way to welcome rain as the week draws to a close.

YUM!!!
Welcome to Broncos' Country
Fore!
No elk today, just geese

Charles' time in Colorado began with snow falling last week and ended today with mid-60s and sun!

Making his way back to Denver from Estes Park, he stopped for a nibble at the Colorado Cherry Co. store in Lyons. What a fabulous place to get one's cherry fix!

Taking advantage of the terrific weather, he got in a round of golf at The Links Course in Highlands Ranch (on the south side of Denver).

Family visit in Loveland

Charles had a nice visit with his Aunt Joyce today in Loveland following his conference duties this week.

A walk in the (sculpture) park

Charles also took in the Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland, home to 164 wonderful works arranged along a winding path which surrounds a small pond.

To Loveland and back

After Charles wrapped up his clergy gathering this morning he drove to Loveland to have supper with his Aunt Joyce. Before supper there was time for another museum on this trip (the sixth one), the Loveland Museum & Gallery.

Golfing in Estes Park

Charles' clergy gathering had some free time this afternoon and so five hardy souls ventured to play a round of golf at the Estes Park Golf Course.

The treat for everyone, in addition to the scenery and the companionship, was seeing hundreds of elk roaming the course! It was something to hear the bugling coming from the bulls and the answering calls from the cows.

Following worship this morning, Charles set off for Estes Park by way of Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, located on the former Lowry Air Force Base.

There was so much to see! Charles even tried his hand at one of the simulators, flying a Spruce Goose from take-off to landing!

Sunday morning in Aurora

Charles woke to a steady snowfall which made the day's activities all the more interesting! He chose to attend worship this morning with the good people of Burns Memorial UMC in Aurora, a small congregation on this snowy day, but a good energy all the same.

More than museums

Charles did a wee bit more than museums today, he had to eat, after all! For lunch, he stopped at the Leven Deli, just around the corner from the Kirkland Museum, and had the most amazing pastrami on rye that he's ever had!

Before heading back to the hotel, he was walking back to the car and spotted Pints Pub, home to the largest selection of whiskeys in the world! Some were $1,000 a serving! He didn't go that far, but did enjoy a flight of top-shelf whiskey to make his day complete!

Five museums in Denver!!!!!
