Escondida Weekend (part 8)

Our afternoon in the hill country consisted of driving into Kerrville for lunch and then doing a little window shopping in the historic part of the city. We had a wonderful lunch at Francisco's, where we shared the most amazing peach cobbler ever! This area is noted for its peach groves, and the restaurant certainly made good use of this resource!

On our way into town, we spotted a herd of 15-20 white-tailed deer. There were several fawns in the group, and it was fun watching them sprint though the meadow as a group.
This evening, we enjoyed a very nice meal (which included an incredible chocolate brownie!), and we enjoyed getting to know more of the guests who are also staying here this weekend.
