Cool Saturday

Giving the honeysuckle vines and the hops vines a good soak
Wesley supervises Charles' progress
Good workout on a Saturday
We've had a great spring Saturday with lots of activity at the church and at home.  Charles was up early this morning for the monthly meeting of the United Methodist Men at our church.  He followed that up with a graveside memorial service for a local resident.

This afternoon was given to the home-front.  A long-standing practice of ours is to take money received from Charles' officiating at funerals and putting it into the parsonage.  This afternoon Charles put some of those funds into planting honeysuckle vines along the fence (where the hops vines are just starting to show).  He also began clearing the rest of the fence line for more vines.  There was a great sale at a local nursery that made all of this possible.

Belinda was not to be outdone outdoors today as she tackled the lawn mowing chores this morning, while enjoying the cool temps (mid-50s).  Even Wesley got into the act, supervising Charles' efforts at gardening and keeping an eye on the neighborhood cats!

Tomorrow is Trinity Sunday and we are so looking forward to being with our church family!
