A Day in San Angelo (TX)

Our stay in San Angelo got off to a slow start today, which was just to our liking! We emerged mid-morning from Belinda's mother's (Sheila Hammitt) place at Rio Concho West to meet with the D.S. from the San Angelo District of the SW Texas Annual Conference (of the UMC). We enjoyed our time with him and look forward to working with him as possibilities present themselves.

After an enjoyable luncheon at Logan's Roadhouse, it was off to the resale shops: first was the Goodwill store, followed by the Salvation Army store and then to the Book Heaven ("A place where good books go after they've been read."). We enjoyed our time looking for bargains, and then we were happy to settle in for a cup of tea.

  1. I would be remiss in not pointing out that y'all brought the cold, rainy, snowy weather with you when you came. We were having a nice civilized fall up until then. I'm just sayin'... ;-)
