The sun was out today in west Texas, and though the temperature didn't make it over 40F, the outdoors beckoned. We went for a drive in the countryside west of San Angelo, going as far as Odessa/Midland.
After being in Minnesota for several months, the stark landscape of this part of Texas is something else! We did see a lot of wind turbines and oil and gas fields. The land may look barren, but as with most places, one need only look a little deeper for the treasure of a place. Belinda was thrilled to spot the billboard announcing the location of a Cracker Barrel (between Midand and Odessa)! Even though we didn't stop this time, you can be sure it won't be long before we make it back there!
