From San Angelo to Roscoe to McCamey

We set out early this morning from San Angelo with the small town of Roscoe as our destination. Charles had been invited to preach this morning at the First Salem Lutheran Church in Roscoe (just west of Abilene). What a warm welcome we received! This small congregation made us feel like life-long members of the comunity!

After lunch in Roscoe, we made our way to McCamey (south of Midland/Odessa). Charles was there to be introduced by Rev. Larry Altman (the San Angelo District Superintendent) to the congregations of the First UMC (McCamey) and First UMC (Iraan) as the interim pastor. We were thrilled at the reception that was provided us. We were shown the McCamey church and the parsonage next door and look forward to our getting to know these kind people.
