A slow summer day in San Angelo

Trinity UMC - San Angelo
"Biker Church"
The news from San Angelo is more heat and that means laying low for us at Mo's place on Pinto Path.

This morning we went to Trinity UMC on the north side of the city. It was once a large congregation but now attracts a small, but warm community of believers numbering about 25-30. The vibrancy of the worship wasn't found in the numbers in the pews but in the spirit that beats in the hearts of those who make their way to the church on North Chadborne, summed up in the words of one lady who told Charles, "God has a purpose for this church and we're going to keep going until we know what it is."

One ministry that Trinity UMC offers to the community is found in "The Biker Church." Charles went by in the afternoon to take a picture of the church and witnessed part of the worship service of "Forgiven Bikers" which meets at Trinity UMC on Sunday afternoons. Really an incredible experience.

After church this morning, we ventured downtown and ate at one of San Angelo's eating landmarks - "Feuntes Cafe." This is the place to go for Sunday lunch!!! Mo wanted to take a peak at the wares at Concho Confetti, one of San Angelo's many antique stores. She didn't find what she was looking for but the experience is always worth it!
